2021 Brings Exciting Changes

Iselde is eager to announce that Scott Barrett has bought shares in Absolute Therapy and is being welcomed on board as a Director!

Many of you will already know Scott who has been a stable feature at Absolute Therapy for the last two years. Iselde & Scott work extremely well together and are excited to team up to bring you even more of the professionalism, creativity and service that give Absolute Therapy its reputation as Wellington’s go-to place for personalised health services.

Scott Barrett
RMT (7), Dip WRM; Dip CTM; BHSt-Nmt. Certified MSTR instructor and practitioner.

Scott is one of the few massage therapists in Aotearoa New Zealand to hold a degree qualification in Massage Therapy. His level of qualification gives him a more integrated understanding of the treatment methods he has learned and a deeper understanding of ‘how it all fits together.’ His treatments are clearly planned, holistic and relevant to your needs and always leave you feeling noticeably different.

Scott says “I believe Massage Therapy is a truly biopsychosocial approach to health care and I think that’s why I like doing it so much. I particularly like that I can spend on average 60 minutes but sometimes up to 120 minutes with a client. It allows me to work at a comfortable pace for my clients tissues while still working thoroughly, re-assessing, discussing findings and educating as we go.
Absolute Therapy was an obvious choice in terms of where to take my massage practice. I’m excited to be leading a team filled with motivated ‘career professionals’ rather than being successful in isolation. I will bring a lot to this business; I’m especially interested in making the user experience an easy one, filled with simple clearly laid out treatment choices. I’m also excited to be taking an active role in managing Absolute Therapy.”

Service & Price Re-structure

After joining forces we’ve undertaken a business review including a market review and have some exciting plans for the year ahead.

To begin with we’ve updated our service structure and pricing of some services accordingly.

Our new service categories are designed to clearly distinguish between services that require advanced skills and training so you can easily find what you’re looking for.

The main thing to note is that massage is now split into two categories; ‘Relaxation Massage’ and ‘Therapeutic & Sports Massage’. There is also a new category, ‘Neuromuscular Therapy.’

Trust that your therapist is adequately trained to deliver the service expected whilst being competitively priced for the same or similar services elsewhere in Wellington.

Please follow the links listed in the bullet points above for the full details on our new prices which will be in effect as of March 1st 2021.

If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to ask us by contacting either Iselde or Scott on
